It is in hospitals' and patients' mutual interest to avoid 'readmission', due to lack of insurance coverage.

'Readmitted' patients are those who return to the hospital within 30 days after their discharge. This could be due to many reasons, such as age, length of stay, inpatient history, etc.

During Fall 23, me and my team at Boston University looked into a national database of diabetic patients, and their re-admitted records for a length of ten years. Our objective was to create a predictive model to identify the records that are more likely to be readmitted. Hence, help hospitals and patients to prevent the readmission event.
